MagicBricks is a platform for property buyers & sellers to locate properties of interest in India, and source information about all property related issues.
MagicBricks keeps ease of usage on top priority for their users on their web and mobile apps. To ensure such smooth experience Magicbricks uses CanvasFlip for prototyping, design validation and user research.
We spoke to Mayur Choudhary, Head of User Experience at MagicBricks on what inspired him to switch to CanvasFlip.
Monika(CanvasFlip) : Can you walk us through the design process followed at MagicBricks?
Mayur(MagicBricks) : We at Magicbricks follow simple process of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test. With a team of 20+ UX professionals we were primarily using Marvel app along with other prototyping tool. These designs once tested, reviewed and approved by stakeholders move to the development team.
Monika(CanvasFlip) : What were the challenges which influenced you to look for another solution?
Mayur(MagicBricks) : Reaching out for feedback on the prototype was a time taking and cumbersome task. We received volumes of emails and textual feedback. Churning out the gist of these feedback and notes was the biggest problem. But amazingly, just by sharing the prototype on CanvasFlip you can get actionable feedback.
Monika(CanvasFlip) : Why did you choose CanvasFlip over other tools?
Mayur(MagicBricks) : With CanvasFlip, initially it took me two minutes to get around with the tool, but I was blown away with the innovative features that it provides. That was the trigger point and I opted for CanvasFlip. It’s completely justified now why you’ll started a prototyping company when a dozen of them were already prevalent in the market. CanvasFlip completely surprises me!
Such features in a prototyping tool completely surprised me. I have already created a number of projects on CanvasFlip and I am happy to use it for all my upcoming projects as well.
Monika(CanvasFlip) : What according to you is the most attractive feature of CanvasFlip?
Mayur(MagicBricks) : I would name two of them - Screenflow and interaction heat map. Both of them have made my work easier and more accurate. I love the fact that any change in the flow of screens is automatically updated in the screenflow. Sharing this screenflow is again something that has saved effort and time. Conversing with the clients over phone about the project has become easier for both.
And, with interaction heat map it becomes very clear to me whether the designs are intuitive enough or not. My decisions now are based on tangible and reference able analysis in CanvasFlip.
Monika(CanvasFlip) : Will you recommend CanvasFlip to a friend of the same domain?
Mayur(MagicBricks) : Ya of course I will. I want everyone to experience such a rich set of feature on a prototyping tool.
Mayur went to say, “I am proud of the fact that CanvasFlip is the first Indian design Startup working in the domain of prototyping and usability testing. The way you’ll have approached the problem of usability testing at the initial stage is incredible” #MakeinIndia.
