It all started with an idea in a 2-BHK flat at Hyderabad… Vipul and Manish were also one of those youngsters who had the dream of driving their passion. They had been working for an MNC when they finally decided that it was time to change trajectories. They quit their job and decided to pursue CanvasFlip amongst their other hobbies.
Very few people actually know that CanvasFlip did not start as a prototyping platform. It started as a generic HTML animation platform. And then eventually it pivoted to HR gamification, Ad and banner creation. During this time, CanvasFlip was working closely with Tech Mahindra.
CanvasFlip finally pivoted to the prototyping domain and it was this point from where they took it forward. In March 2014, CanvasFlip was invited to TLabs at Noida as a part of their incubation program.
Getting the correct platform, they rolled out the MVP for rapid prototyping. At this point they started working with successful companies like TimesCity and Dineout. The business had made its grip and it was time to propagate. They reached to the product market fit. Vipul and Manish were now working with various companies under the Times property - TOI, ET, Ganna, MagicBricks and many more.
Rahul Saini, Head of Product Design, PayTm was closely mentoring CanvasFlip and he suggested to include User Research at the prototyping stage.
It was now time to move into a lavish 3 storey building at Bangalore! Yes! Microsoft Ventures had shortlisted CanvasFlip to be a part of the accelerator program batch #7. CanvasFlip was growing in all dimensions. Vipul and Manish expanded their team and welcomed 5 new members onboard.
CanvasFlip was doing just fine financially when they got a funding of $1.2 Million from Bessemer! Good Times and better ones were on the way! NASSCOM 10K came forward as an amazing partner and they helped at every step from Day one. CanvasFlip also made it to NASSCOM EMERGE #50.
And now it was time to fly! CanvasFlip was invited to a 2 week residential mentorship program, blackbox connect#13 powered by Google at California! Vipul and Manish made it to the Silicon Valley to make India proud - first Indian design company to carry the tricolour to the blackbox connect program!

All of this in a year! As we stand to welcome the new year 2016, we all take resolutions! CanvasFlip too takes one! We are committed for a faster, easier, smarter, in a nutshell, an enhanced way of user research and prototyping.
