Two attractions in the prototype for a UX designer -

  • On- boarding tutorials

Usually users are not very happy to experience on-boarding tutorials. But user testing on the Evernote prototype speaks differently - Users love these illustrations.

A fresh and soft green colored background with friendly and informal illustrations in the walkthrough screens is quite attractive. Each feature explained in a crisp manner via illustration, all at a swipe.

  • The stylish floating action button

Based on the green theme of the app, Evernote has placed a green action button with a well-blend shadow behind it. Being the only elevated looking element on the screen, it is intuitive enough to attract the attention of the users.

It opens up the options of camera, attachment, work chat, reminder, handwriting and text note in a very stylish manner. Every icon is labelled so you do not have to spend time figuring out the functionalities of these UI elements. It maintains a delicate balance as to not make the text distracting.
